Communication......
Different people have different thinkings, different values, different believes. No two person are identical. My thinking may not be same as anyone, but I do not expect anyone to change their thinking just to suit mine. I've met many people with different values and thinking. Occasionally, I may question their thinking and ask them to change, but not because I can't accept their thinking, but 'politically', their thinking may not be correct. But even if they like to carry on with their thinking, I do not get angry with them, accuse them, or whatsoever. I respect them as individuals and their thinkings. Everyone has their right to believe, and I accept their thinking and the way they are. Why should I bother to ever change them or get angry with them? They are old enough to decide what is good for them and bear the consequences.
Studies show that effective communication is a result of 7% the words you use, 38% tone & pitch of voice and 55% body language. Over the phone, the words you use account for 16% and your Voice accounts for 84% !!! Shocking figures? Not to me. Can't recall how many times people have got angry over smses that I've sent, even though it was suppose to be a friendly sms. The other party just interpret the sms in their way, and thus my real message did not get across to them, but instead angered them. Sometimes I don't understand what they are angry about, yet when I call them immediately(to use my other 84% of clarification) to clarify, the most common response was either not taking my call, or dropping the call abruptly. Well, if this happens, they can't be bothered to clarify anything, so usually I'll just forget it. Not that I want to ignore it, but the other party got angry for some reason I can't understand and he/she gives me no way of finding out where the miscommunication happen.
Oh well, better stop writing liao, cause I'm actually doing this in office. =P Time to get back to work.
